Binance Backed Project Elfin Metaverse aims to bring back Web3 games with the iconic Japanese gaming brand. Elfin Metaverse partners with Metame to tap on some of the most widely known IPs from Japanese anime.
Elfin Metaverse, a project backed by Binance Labs, has signed an intent with Metame, a leading business co-creator based in Tokyo, Japan. With this move, Elfin Metaverse will access images and branding from top Japanese games, leading them to metaverse-based Web3 projects. The new product includes interactive storytelling and global tournaments, bringing cross-border gaming projects with on-chain capabilities.
Elfin Metaverse has been supported by Binance Labs since 2021 as a source of strategic investment. Initially, the kingdom of Elfin was the main product and was targeted at BNB chain users. GameHub was also a project launched with Binance Incubator.
Elfin Kingdom aims to combine games with Defi to become the first farm offering platform to combine games with fundraising.
Collaboration with Metame will build a multiverse product, combining the existing virtual spaces of Elfin Metaverse with Metame branding and images. Both partners will build a gaming experience for fans that are tied to already popular gaming characters.
Metame is expanding its Web3 services, including creating an NFT market. Metabolism serves as the fandom’s Web3 social media. Both Metame and Elfin Metaverse aim to build a fandom economy built on the interaction of Metaverse and Web3 social media.
Sanrio Virtual Festival in 2025 already introduces IP and characters in a virtual environment. Elfin Metaverse expands these experiences, including more immersive games. In addition to creating virtual spaces, Elfin Metaverse redistributes revenue generated by successful IP and Metaverse characters.
Partnership will lead Japanese anime fans to Web3
Elfin Metaverse aims to bring in already established Web2 users by tapping on the already beloved intellectual property of Japanese anime. Fanbases can look for a combination of nostalgic storytelling and another attempt to revive Web3 games. Currently, Elfin Metaverse maintains activity in idle games using established mobile and idle play models. Top mini-games for the project include Panda Dash, Flappy Hero, and Elfin Turtle World.
Elfin Metaverse’s new brand comes from platforms such as Line. Elfin Metaverse aims to lower the barrier to Entry and tap on its fan base on the Web3 feature.
Elfin Metaverse aims to rebuild its success from the 2021 on-chain gaming boom. Metaverse peaked with over 190K active users daily during that period. Over the past few years, active users have decreased to less than 3,000 per day, but there have been signs of more active transactions related to using the BNB chain.
Elfin Metaverse is a multi-chain project focused on esports and is surrounded by a metaverse environment. In addition to expanding the story with Metaverse IP and popular anime, the platform is running Elfin Tokens’ ongoing Airdrop missions. In addition to the airdrop, Elfin Metaverse is preparing for more competition and game season, tied to tocononomics.
Recently, Elfin Metaverse released its Q1 roadmap. This aims to start growing after a slow period of Web3 games. The platform also prepares its Metaverseland NFT utility, focusing on Elfin tokens.
The partnership with Metame is part of a plan to release more casual games based on their major IPs. Onboarding more successful content from existing Web2 fandoms is part of the roadmap for the coming months. The platform is also tested on racing games, but also tackles the final art and vision of complex MMO games.
