Blockchain news media platform BlockTempo has announced that it successfully hosted the Asian Blockchain Summit 2024 (ABS2024) and attracted 13,254 participants from over 30 countries. The event was held from August 6th to 8th at the Nangang Exhibition Centre in Taipei, Taiwan, and also established the summit as one of Asia’s best blockchain gatherings.
The summit featured Fortune 500 CEOs, investors and global founders in Taipei, where over 100 side events and private dinners took place in the city.

ABS2024 shines with key highlights: Open Summit, defi insights, Tron innovation
One of the highlights was the open summit, the largest gathering of the Ton community, leaving a strong impression with its impressive entrance and visually impressive stage. The event included a vibrant, tropical-themed Code Summer Hackathon area that promotes creativity and innovation. More than 50 speakers from the Global Ton Ecosystem were presented on stage to share insights and inspiring discussions on the latest advances in blockchain technology and future prospects.
Another notable feature of ABS2024 is the Solana and Ordinals stages, which introduces key figures for both ecosystems and discusses the progress of decentralized finance (DEFI) and retail innovation. Experts at Solana and Ordinals presented a perspective on how decentralized finance can reconstruct traditional markets. Lily Liu, president of the Solana Foundation, gave a prominent keynote address on Payfi, a Defi-based settlement concept, showing its practical use. Additionally, Polkadot made a strong impression at the central ecosystem booth, providing participants with a detailed view of the latest advancements in the Polkadot network.
Additionally, as a title sponsor, Tron hosted a series of three-day activities featuring engaging presentations. Tron founder Justin Sun gave a keynote speech outlining Tron’s efforts to integrate digital assets into the mainstream financial system. Additionally, he joined a fireplace chat with Song Hongbin, author of “The War of Currency,” to further explore the intersection of digital assets and traditional finances.
