Members of the Crypto community have revealed that Zerebro developer Jeffy Yu disguised himself as Zerebro developer Jeffy Yu promoted the new Memecoin on Pump.Fun LiveStream on May 4th.
This belief appears to have arisen from the removal of unverified private letters that Yu believes he sent to Zerebro Investor, trading activities linked to crypto wallets owned by Yu, and obituaries from Legacy.com.
Others speculate that Yu used the tool to pass in the video before editing, as if it was filmed in real time during Pump.Fun Live Stream.
An unverified letter from Yu to early investors states that he intentionally created the livestream by pretending to shoot himself.
“Being completely doxx put me under constant fear of robbery and physical harm. There have been many notable numbers in the crypto community that has recently been armed robbery in their homes.”
“I have not been able to comfortably reside in my family’s home for months now, as my address is publicly known.”
The letter argued that he would “resciss the public life and fame,” and that he would shift his focus to music that was played anonymously.
In addition to the unverified letter, Legacy.com has deleted Yu’s obituary. This was first described as Stanford’s “high-tech genius” that expanded AI’s content-driven Zerebro protocol to a $800 million ecosystem at its peak.
X user and Crypto enthusiast “Vee” claimed that after Yu’s death, one of his wallets offloaded USDC (USDC) Zerebro (Zerebro) token.
VEE’s claim was later supported by blockchain analytics company Bubblemaps, and it was estimated that Zerebro’s $100,000 was sold and moved to Lljeffy.
Meanwhile, one viewer from Yu’s livestream believes the gunshot was edited with brightness and sound effects, while another observer claimed that the Flash was not coming from the gun.

The Lljeffy token has exceeded 80% of its $5 million market capitalization since the incident, Dex Screener data shows.
Yu’s suspicion of suicide came hours after he published a manifesto explaining the concept of legacy coins, or the concept of legacy memo coins he called it.
