Doodles’ NFT sales have skyrocketed 97% over the past 24 hours as digital collection traders anticipate token generation events and airdrops for their projects.
On May 8th, Cryptoslam data showed Doodles NFT sales exceeded $1.1 million, almost doubled the previous day’s total. Spike placed the graffiti on the third spot for daily NFT sales, following Darket and Courtyard NFT.
Last week, Doodles recorded a total revenue of $2.6 million, up 368% from the previous week, ranking fifth among all NFT collections, according to Cryptoslam.
Surge is ahead of the release of Doodles’ much-anticipated Dood token. The project announced that the token generation event will be held on May 7th.
Dood Token and Airdrop Doodles
Doodles announced the launch of Memecoin on February 13th, saying it will mint 10 billion Dood tokens in Solana. The project also said it will bridge the basic blockchain in the future.
According to the team, 68% of tokens are assigned to community members: 30% to the Doodles community, 13% to the new Blood community, and 25% as the Ecosystem Fund.
Team members receive 17% of the tokens and the company earns 5% of the token supply. Doodles said these will be affected by a one-year cliff unlocking period and a three-year vesting period. The remaining 10% of the token supply is allocated to the liquidity of the project.
Doodles NFTS owners are eligible to pre-register and receive airdrop assignments for tokens. Exchanges like Binance and Bybit have announced that they will list the tokens on trading platforms after the tokens were minted on May 9th.
