Bitmex founder Arthur Hayes has doubled Bitcoin’s long-term bullish outlook, predicting a meteor rise of up to $1 million by 2028.
Arthur Hayes predicts Bitcoin will reach $1 million by 2028
Hayes summarized his investment paper in this week’s blog post. “The repatriation of foreign capital and the massive devaluation of US Treasury bond holdings will be two catalysts to drive Bitcoin to $1 million between now and 2028.”
Hayes also provided insight into his latest trading strategy, explaining in late January that he reduced risk and increased Fiat Holdings. He then began re-entering the crypto market in late March and early April, reaching the “largest long” position in the global financial markets known as the “liberation day” meltdown.
As the crypto market begins to recover and Bitcoin is approaching its previous high, Hayes said the focus has shifted to identify high-quality altcoins called “shit” that could surpass Bitcoin in the next phase of the bull market.
“Now is the time to decide which quality of shit can outweigh Bitcoin at the next rally,” Hayes said, showing a broader desire for risk and reward beyond key digital assets.
Hayes’ comments come when investors are increasingly interested in alternative assets as traditional markets face inflation concerns, geopolitical uncertainty and structural changes in monetary policy. Hayes’ bold $1 million Bitcoin forecast highlights the growing sentiment that Crypto could become a critical hedge in the evolving global financial system.
