Band Protocol is excited to officially announce the release of Band V3 on the mainnet. This development illustrates an innovative leap in decentralized data feed technology. Through this upgrade, the entire design of the band’s infrastructure is presented. This groundbreaking move aims to empower smart contracts and AI agents by providing secure data in real time. In this way, the platform strives to connect the Web2 API to Web3 applications and scale at an unprecedented speed.
The launch of the band protocol mainnet is configured to define new standards for scale, speed, and multi-chine reach. The platform also invites builders to navigate trustworthy data infrastructure. Band Protocol, an Oracle network of decentralized cross-chain data, witnessed development through the official X account.
Band Protocol v3 powers up to Web3 and later by unlocking multi-chine smart data
The band’s V3BIS multichine operational target and performance metrics are improved. The duration of the block has been reduced from about 6 seconds to one. Through this, the block experiences 3x throughput along with 10x enhanced. This advancement has been made possible with the introduction of three important architectural components.
Three keys include a signaling hub for distributed symbol governance, a simultaneous price stream for high-frequency asset prices, and a data tunnel. The key, represented, is intended to provide relays for cross-chain and secure feeds. Mission-critical data such as price updates and validator reports are protected by Custom Mempool.
Band protocols supported by top variators launch a new era of Oracle infrastructure
Top tier variators such as Binance Validator, Hashkey Cloud, Nansen, and Cosmo Station will back up the new mainnet. An additional 40 validators are ready to join the mainnet. Cross-chain data relays are further protected by the Band Protocol V3 and utilize the router protocol. The Band Protocol V3 is injected into IBC and IBC-Hook-enabled chains.
This initiative is just the beginning to bring more developers, protocols, and validators to the protocol. This advancement is poised to define the future of decentralized open data.
Band Protocol is implementing these innovations to solidify its reputation in its Web3 data infrastructure. The protocol is set up to empower next-generation distributed applications by providing security, unprecedented speed and accessibility.
