Canary Capital CEO believes that the XRP ETF will be an immediate success and offers potential outperformance for the Ethereum ETF.
Steve McClurg has bold predictions about the US XRP Spot ETF. IIn an interview on NA Friday, he reaffirmed his forecast that funds tracking cryptocurrency, the third largest by market capitalization, will attract $5 billion inflows in the first month of the launch.
XRP ETF attracts $500 million in the first month
According to data from Sosovaliue, Bitcoin Spot ETF recorded a net inflow of $1.46 billion in January 2024. While some may argue that it was not a one-month inflow as ETFS began trading on January 11, 2024, the ETF had a cumulative net inflow of $3.26 billion. February 12th, 2024, a month later.
Meanwhile, comments arise as the 2025 XRP ETFs continue to grow. Baron shared that the likelihood of launch this year is 86% and now at 87%, which has led to an increase in reliability among market users.
McClurg agrees with this optimistic outlook, suggesting that XRP will be launched by the end of 2025 along with other assets such as HBAR, Litecoin and Solana. He added that the presence of XRP futures products will further increase the likelihood of entering the market by the end of the year.
XRP surpasses Ethereum ETF
Meanwhile, CEO Canary Capital also predicted that the XRP ETF is better than the Ethereum Spot ETF, citing several reasons. First, he noted that, with the exception of Bitcoin, XRP is Wall Street’s most popular token and is a factor driving the success of ETFs at that moment.
In particular, the XRP community is one of the most lively things in the crypto space, and the demand for XRPL native tokens is incredibly high. Teucrium CEO Sal Gilbertie proved this in a recent interview. They call it the XRP army.
Furthermore, McClurg believes the XRP ETF is superior to Ethereum’s counterparts simply in terms of “pure financial services.” This coincides with his previous statement that XRP has a clear and somewhat clear use case in the payments industry.
Some claim that XRP has competitors, but tokens are the leaders of the cross-border settlement scene. Its clear financial utility can ensure that XRP-focused investment instruments attract better inflows than Ethereum.
Interestingly, Previous Report He emphasized that XRP prices would be significantly more pronounced if XRP ETFS recorded the projected $5 billion inflow. Specifically, it could reach $26 per coin, with a market capitalization of $1.36 trillion.
