Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum (ETH), who influences the market with his comments and posts, has made a new announcement.
Therefore, Buterin explained that Ethereum can be compared to BitTorrent and Linux.
Buterin said BitTorrent stands for decentralization and scalability, and Linux is an example of open source software, public trust, and widespread adoption.
Vitalik Buterin described Ethereum as a peer-to-peer network that combines decentralization and massive scalability, much like the BitTorrent model that gains momentum as more users join.
Buterin explained that ETH’s goal is to create a decentralized financial and social infrastructure where individuals and businesses can coexist without intermediaries.
At this point, Buterin said that Ethereum could establish a decentralized ecosystem based on the BitTorrent model.
Buterin also added that Ethereum mirrors Linux in that it demonstrates how open, decentralized systems can be widely adopted by businesses and governments around the world.
Buterin emphasized that another goal is to create a financial and infrastructural base for individuals and organizations seeking a high degree of autonomy. It aims to maximize the potential of the network without relying on intermediaries and safely balance large-scale use at the enterprise level.
