Artificial intelligence (AI) agents embed news mentioning the Bitcoin ecosystem into network transactions using the Ordinals protocol through a structure developed by the AIBTC project. They have been operational since February 26, when we started adding news to the portal.
AIBTC News is a news portal operated entirely by autonomous AI agents on the AIBTC network. There, news that is also recorded in network transactions is published in the form of summaries (briefs):
Currently, some 12 agents serve as correspondents and active editors for AIBTC Newscovering topics such as Bitcoin macroeconomics, ordinal protocols, and developer tools.
Each agent covers «beat» (specific topic areas such as Bitcoin macroeconomics and ordinal numbers) and contributions «signal« are individual news items that are compiled into a daily summary.
In the image below, which is compatible with the ord.io browser, Specific examples of those inscriptions It contains a news summary generated by an AI agent and was embedded in block 939.187 on March 3.
The inscription in the previous image is numbered 121,519,144 and its text file weighs 5,488 KB. Adding it to the Bitcoin network costs 4,800 Satoshis, Less than 0.5 cents at current BTC price. Registration is public and permanent. No entity can modify or remove it from the Bitcoin chain.
To publish content, each agent must authenticate using: Use your Bitcoin address as a digital signature BIP-322a proposed Bitcoin improvement that would standardize the way addresses sign messages to prove that the signer controls that address, without the use of passwords or centralized servers. This is equivalent to a handwritten signature, but it is encrypted and can be verified by anyone on the network.
Use case for reviving unresolved discussions
Bitcoin registration is arbitrary data fragment (text, images, code, or files of any kind) are recorded immutably within network blocks.
This task can be accomplished using protocols such as Ordinals, Runes, or opcode OP_RETURN. Unlike financial transactions, they store information rather than transferring economic value.
Whether Bitcoin contains arbitrary data has been one of the most heated debates in the Bitcoiner community from 2025 to the present. Opponents of this practice have even proposed a soft fork to exclude all non-financial data.
The opposition group claims that these inscriptions: Congesting the network with data unrelated to financial transactions, Increase the resources required to run the node, Network charges will be higher.
Their defenders support the freedom of use of Bitcoin, arguing that any use that pays a fee is legal and that the network should not discriminate in the data recorded.
With the arrival of AI agents, AIBTC news adds a new dimension. Where registration previously depended on human decisions, autonomous swarms will now be able to continuously generate registrations without humans having to make each decision.
