Zenith launched as a new Ethereum-compatible execution layer integrated with Canton Network, allowing developers to run standard Solidity applications directly within the network’s organizational infrastructure.
Zenith is a blockchain infrastructure project that connects Ethereum tools and Canton. This integration allows developers to deploy existing applications without modification while using familiar tools such as Hardhat and MetaMask. Previously, contractors working with Canton were required to use Daml, the network’s proprietary programming language. By supporting the Ethereum development environment, Zenith lowers the technical barrier for teams wanting to build financial applications in Canton.
According to the companies involved, Zenith has completed a technical milestone demonstrating atomic transactions between Canton’s infrastructure and Zenith EVM in a controlled environment. This architecture allows applications built on Ethereum to directly interact with regulated financial workflows running on Canton.
Zenith also acts as a Tier-1 Super Validator in Canton, sharing the highest consensus weight with institutions such as DTCC and Nasdaq. The project aims to connect Ethereum’s developer ecosystem to a regulated financial blockchain infrastructure used by large institutions.
