Bitcoin rose along with U.S. stocks after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reportedly said he was willing to end the conflict if security was guaranteed.
The cryptocurrency rose nearly 2% in the past 24 hours, trading at $67,762. Nasdad nearly doubled its gains on the news and is now up 3.1%. Meanwhile, WTI crude oil fell from just under $105 to $102 per barrel.
Pezeshkian’s unconfirmed comments raise the possibility that diplomacy will get off the ground, allaying fears of a broader conflict that could disrupt oil flows, accelerate inflation and continue to roil global markets.
