Cryptocurrency analytics firm Santiment used GitHub data from the past 30 days to reveal the most active Layer 2 networks based on developer activity.
The data shows that competition continues unabated, especially among Ethereum scaling solutions, with Starknet and Aztec maintaining their top positions.
According to Santiment’s data, developer activity metrics reflect the technical progress and ecosystem growth of projects on GitHub, and leadership in this space is considered an important indicator of long-term fundamental strength.
Starknet ($STRK) maintained the top position with 117 points of developer activity, while privacy-focused Layer 2 solution Aztec ($AZTEC) placed second with 116.27 points. Arbitrum ($ARB) maintained third place with 73.37 points.
Meanwhile, Optimism (OP) rose to 4th place compared to the previous month, and zkSync (ZK) fell to 5th place.

According to data shared by Santiment, the top 10 Layer 2 projects by developer activity and their developer activity scores rank as follows:
- Starknet ($STRK) – 117
- Aztec ($AZTEC) – 116.27
- decision ($ARB) – 73.37
- Optimism (OP) – 63.6
- zkSync (ZK) – 55.2
- Descartes (CTSI) – 36
- Fuel Network (FUEL) – 13.17
- Skell (SKL) – 12:47 p.m.
- Immutable X (IMX) – 9.53
- Scroll (SCR) – 7.1
