Water.org, a nonprofit organization co-founded by actor Matt Damon and engineer Gary White, has launched a Get Blue campaign aimed at addressing this humanitarian crisis.

Offset a company’s footprint
Direct water consumption by U.S. data centers will increase to 73 billion gallons by 2028, according to data provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Of course, this significant increase is primarily driven by artificial intelligence.
Although the “Get Blue” campaign does not directly address industrial consumption (as its founders admit), it actually aims to solve the human side of the crisis with the help of the same companies.
A portion of sales and direct donations will go to Water.org.
The “Get Blue” campaign mechanism relies on the WaterCredit model established by Water.org, which targets affordable financing for essential public projects.
As mentioned above, Ripple is now part of the coalition as a cornerstone partner.
Notably, the blockchain payment network is introducing a stablecoin backed by the US dollar. $RLUSDto transfer funds to microfinance partners operated by Water.org. Since they operate in emerging markets, they really need to expand their trade.
Stablecoin philanthropy
this is not the first time $RLUSD The tokens have been used for philanthropy and economic development efforts.
