Blockchain development startup Peersyst has announced the following upgrades. $XRP Ledger EVM sidechain.
XRPL EVM is $XRP A ledger that adds Ethereum-compatible smart contracts. In a recent X post, Peersyst released information about the upcoming XRPL EVM v11, stating that this next upgrade focuses on strengthening the network with improved economic security, more secure cross-chain connections, enhanced validator management, and additional stack enhancements. Peersyst announced its Testnet proposal later this week, and predicted that Mainnet would follow.
📣 XRPL EVM v11 is here!
The next upgrade will focus on strengthening the network with improved economic security, more secure cross-chain connectivity, enhanced validator management, and additional enhancements across the stack.
We will make a proposal regarding the testnet as soon as possible… https://t.co/kI9FL5GpKK

The XRPL EVM sidechain went live on mainnet in June 2025, and the network has continuously added new improvements.
As a key part of the multi-chain expansion, the Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin arrived on the XRPL EVM sidechain in June.
Future changes
While many network upgrades focus on introducing new features, Piersisto noted that XRPL EVM v11 focuses on something equally important: network safety, resiliency, and operational ease.
This release introduces a series of improvements across validator management, cross-chain infrastructure, and internal security processes.
Most of these changes occur behind the scenes and have little impact to developers or end users, but they all contribute to the long-term security and resiliency of your network.
The v11 upgrade is a security-first release of the XRPL EVM sidechain that prioritizes economic security, reduces the attack surface, and strengthens the validator and IBC (inter-blockchain communication) layers.
XRPL EVM uses a Proof-of-Authority consensus model, where changes to validator sets are gated by designated authorities rather than open staking. There are two changes in v11. The standard validator creation path will now be blocked after launch, preventing anyone from joining a validator set they are not authorized to do. Validators can now voluntarily delete themselves, rather than relying on permission to do so.
XRPL EVM performs AI-assisted security audits on a regular basis. v11 is the first release with end-to-end benefits.
