Andrew Tate’s DADDY meme coin has lost half its value and now trades 97% below its 2024 high, but this precipitous decline coincides with Tate’s recent arrest and incarceration in a federal detention center in Miami.
Federal marshals arrested Tate, 39, and his brother Tristan, 38, on sealed warrants in British extradition proceedings outside the James L. Knight Center in Miami on Saturday. The two were on their way to a boxing event that Andrew was scheduled to co-host.
This is not the first time the two have been detained by the government, and they continue to use their experiences to garner media attention.
In fact, Tate spent time Thursday tweeting about his life in prison, including being housed next to an alleged cannibal who “screams all night.”

Whether personally or through a representative with Internet access, Andrew posted to X, “I’m being held in the SHU,” referring to the Special Housing Unit at the Miami Federal Detention Center, a U.S. prison facility.
He inaccurately claimed it was the “highest level of security in existence” and continued to gloss over his story: “No concessions, no visits, no contact with the outside world.”
This “out of touch” experience includes more than 3 million impressions on one post and more than a dozen posts or retweets in the past 48 hours, not to mention exposure from his other social media channels and countless media articles about the incident.
I am being held in the SHU, the highest security facility in existence.
There are no shops.
No visits.
There is no contact with the outside world. My neighbor is a cannibal who screams all night.

UK seeks criminal proceedings against Andrew Tate
The Crown Prosecution Service has approved a further 38 charges against the Tate brothers, adding four more victims, bringing the total to seven.
Andrew personally faces seven new charges of rape, human trafficking and assault, as well as charges of child sexual abuse images and extreme pornography.
Tristan is charged with two counts of rape, one count of sexual assault, and three counts of human trafficking.
Commenting on the matter, Malcolm McHuffie, head of the CPS Special Crimes Unit, said: “We have decided to charge Andrew and Tristan Tate with further offenses including rape, soliciting and abetting human trafficking for sexual exploitation and offenses relating to indecent images of children.”
The brothers appeared before Judge Lauren Lewis on Monday, and another hearing was scheduled for Monday, July 27.
For now, they remain in a federal detention center in downtown Miami.
The Justice Department’s filing this week asked the court to ensure the brothers’ safety throughout the extradition process, saying they strangled the woman unconscious before raping her.
“This feels political,” attorney Joseph McBride told reporters.

Papa Tate Brothers Meme Coin Remains
Mr. Tate adopted Solana memecoin DADDY as his personal token in June 2024. The stock was trading at about $0.008 on Thursday afternoon, 97% below its all-time high of $0.29.
The company’s market capitalization currently hovers at less than $5 million. The token has lost more than a quarter of its value in the two days since the arrest, and has fallen by 50% in the past seven days.
This shouldn’t surprise anyone. Bubble Map discovered that DADDY deployers transferred 40% of the entire token supply directly to Tate’s own wallet.
The Tate brothers approved more than 10 Solana meme coins during the 2024 celebrity token frenzy, but most of them quickly collapsed by about 99%.
TOPG, another possibly unauthorized Tate-themed meme coin, is currently trading at less than $200 in daily volume and 99.8% below its June 2024 peak. Another, Tate Terminal, is more than 99% below its October 2024 high.
