Ethereum has regained $1,750, giving bulls the first meaningful sign of a broader recovery. However, the long-term downward trend remains. $ETH A breakout of the resistance leaves $2,100 above and $1,200 below as the two main scenarios.
Ethereum faces rejection again at $1,200 risk return
Ethereum is testing the same downtrend line that has rejected every major recovery attempt since 2025. Another failure near $1,850 could keep the bearish structure intact and significantly lower the support.

$ETH Weekly chart. sauce: Mr. Crypto/X
The chart highlights four tangents with the trendline near $4,600, $3,300, $2,400, and now near $1,850. Each previous rejection was followed by a new selloff, indicating that buyers have repeatedly failed to change the overall trend.
$ETH Before the current pullback becomes a reliable reversal, it must close above the trendline and hold it during the retest. A brief rise above resistance, followed by an immediate fall, risks ensnaring late buyers.
If sellers regain control, the first major area to focus on is $1,500. Losing this support could open the way to $1,315 and the expected target of $1,200.
The bearish case will weaken if Ethereum breaks out of the trend line and starts forming weekly highs. Until then, the recent recovery is just another rebound within a broader downtrend.
Ethereum regains $1,750 as bulls target $2,100
Ethereum returned to support at the $1,750 level, marking the first meaningful support and resistance reversal during the current downtrend. Holding in this area could signal a broader change in market structure and pave the way to $2,100.

$ETH Weekly chart. sauce: Daian Crypto Trading/X
The chart shows that $1,750 has acted as a key reaction level several times since 2025. $ETH It recently broke above that level again and is currently trying to hold there during a retest, suggesting that buyers are starting to adhere to previous resistance.
The next major test is approximately between $2,107 and $2,167. This area has repeatedly acted as support and resistance, so a clean weekly close above this area would strengthen the recovery and confirm higher highs.
However, the bullish setup depends on Ethereum sustaining above $1,750. A weekly break below that level would invalidate the support reversal and increase the risk of further decline towards $1,600-$1,500.
