Crypto Economy, citing LayerZero, reports that CADC accounts for roughly 60% of the Canadian dollar-denominated stablecoin supply and has recently passed $500 million in transaction volume. The same report says the setup lets Loon retain control over its smart contracts and tailor the infrastructure to its security and regulatory needs.
The integration also extends LayerZero’s range of non-USD stablecoins. Cryptowisser notes that the portfolio already includes Bitso’s MXNB (Mexican peso), tGBP (British pound), BRL1 (Brazilian real) and KRWQ (Korean won).
Regulatory Backdrop and $ZRO Price Action
The announcement follows regulatory progress for Loon. BetaKit reports that the Calgary-based startup has secured approval from domestic securities regulators to issue CADC in Canada. BetaKit also notes that Loon still has compliance work to do, including migrating legacy CADC to the new contract. Loon’s blog says holders who bought CADC before October 22, 2026 can swap it 1:1 at its migration page or redeem it for Canadian dollars through Paytrie.
On price, eToro data shows $ZRO at $2.415, up 14.02% over the past week. Other trackers show different levels, so quoted prices vary by data source and time of day. DiarioBitcoin, a Spanish-language crypto outlet, put $ZRO at $1.86 on November 1 and said there was no confirmed catalyst for the rally, with the MACD indicator still bearish. The outlet also noted that the token remains well below its all-time high.
The price figures reflect a volatile market and should not be read as evidence that the CADC integration drove the gains.
