Altlayer, a popular distributed protocol for rollup launches and enhancements, has announced its latest collaboration with the renowned blockchain platform Astar Network, and Eigenlayer, Ethereum’s security protocol for off-chain verification. The partnership aims to announce the fast finality in Soneium, Sony Block Solutions Labs’ Stack-Built L2 blockchain. Altlayer and Astar Networks have disclosed this joint feature to their official X accounts.
Altlayer works with @astarnetwork & @eigenlayer to bring fast finality to @soneium – Sony’s OP stack L2.
The fastest finality is equipped with Altlayer’s MachAVS. Sets a new benchmark for rollup performance.

Altlayer, Astar Network and Eigenlayer partners are partners to enable faster finality on Soneium
The Altlayer collaboration with Astar Network and Eigenlayer promises to reduce the final time to under 10 seconds with Soneium. Soneium is currently using Ethereum, a fraud prevention mechanism. Thus, the latest developments are intended to provide a considerable speed of finality.
Although safe, the above lags raise a huge bottleneck for applications that require reliable and quick cross-chain operation. Use cases dealing with games, social platforms, and distributed finance (DEFI) are particularly sensitive to this type of delay. This prevents real-time interactions and increases consumer friction.
Therefore, to address each challenge, Astar Network is reportedly integrated with Altlayer’s modular asynchronous consensus Hybir technology. Integration with Eigenlayer’s cutting-edge restalking infrastructure provides a fast final layer, allowing Soneium to verify transfers in real time.
Altlayer’s Mach solution offers the latest performance enhancement packages. They reduce real-time validation, reliance on centrally controlled sequences, and consider successful tracks across other prominent rollups. Each feature increases speed, security and decentralization, increasing the possibilities of an L2 network. Additionally, a dual token model is utilized, including both $AST (native token for the Astart network) and Ethereum ($ETH) to provide improved security. As a result, the validator uses both these tokens to protect the network. This opens up exclusive staking opportunities.
Apart from creating a high performance rollup for Soneium, drive $ASTR accessibility and liquidity
According to Altlayer, the partnership comes just after Uniswap’s recent list of $ASTR. Therefore, this increases the accessibility and liquidity of $ast within Ethereum’s defi ecosystem. The fast final upgrade of Soneium positions it as a high-performance rollup of real applications.
