A recent poll shows that almost 58% of Argentinians say they don’t trust President Javier Mairei after being involved in the $4.6 billion Libra crypto scandal.
“More than a month after the crypto fraud scandal occurred, how much do you trust Mylay today?” voting platform Zuban Córdoba asked 1,600 respondents in a recently released March survey. This meant that 57.6% said they disapproved him, while 36% said Milei still had confidence.
The remaining 6.4% said they were not sure, the report said.

This was the first time a question was asked in a Zubancordoba poll. However, several other metrics, such as Milei’s image and National Management’s approval rating, have plummeted considerably in recent months.
For example, the latter of these metrics fell from 47.3% in November to 41.6% in March.
“We’re disapproving Javier Mairay’s management by 58%. The negativity has slowly and steadily increased and it appears there is no ceiling,” Zuban Cordoba said.
“The changing tone and assessment of governments is integrated as more and more problematic aspects of the political agenda emerge.”
Zuban Córdoba conducted the survey between March 12 and March 14, and the sample size of 1,600 participants had a confidence level of 95% and a sampling error of 2.45%.
Another survey from San Andre University was conducted between March 11 and 20 with 1,020 respondents.
However, not all polls paint the same picture of President Mairay.
Data collected from the morning consultations from February 27th to March 5th shows that Milei still has a 62.4% approval rate after the Libra scandal.

Mylay has distanced himself from freedom since the scandal, claiming that he did not “promote” Libra’s tokens in a controversial lawsuit, not a fraudulent lawsuit filed against him, and instead “spread the word” about it.
The Libra token spiked to $4.6 billion in market capitalization shortly after Milei’s X-Post, tanking nearly 94% in the coming hours.
The Argentine opposition parties have called for Maylei’s blast each, but so far its success has been limited.
President Miley’s party is still leading the elections approaching
The controversy is set to take place on October 26th, with the next Argentine election.
Despite negative outcomes, Milei’s La Libertad Avanza party is most likely to undertake the next Argentine election, with 36.7% supporting the Libertarian party, and Unión Por La Patria coming in the next 32.5%.
However, only 43% of Argentine respondents believe that Milei, the pre-initiated economist, is well controlled, while 63% of those voted against Milei’s efforts to secure new loans from the International Monetary Fund.
