Band Protocol’s real-world asset feed is now publicly available on Stellar mainnet, which is a substantial step forward for those focused on the tokenized finance space. The new Band RWA feed provides verifiable pricing for Centrifuge’s deRWA products, namely deJTRSY (tokenized U.S. Treasuries) and deJAAA (tokenized CLOs), allowing the pricing and on-chain settlement of these assets to reduce speculation and increase transparency.
This development is the result of a relationship that has been quietly growing for some time. Band will be integrated with Stellar starting in May 2023 to supply trusted on-chain data to applications that require it. Meanwhile, Stellar itself has been focused on fast and low-cost payments and settlements since 2014. Centrifuge brings the tokenization layer and now, with Band providing the price feed, these tokenized products get a trusted and authoritative source for valuation and trading.
There’s no magic in how it works. This is an end-to-end pipeline that maintains auditability. BandChain requests the latest prices for products such as deJTRSY and deJAAA, and validators pull and aggregate data from multiple trusted off-chain sources to reduce operational risk. The verified price is then written to Band’s standard reference contract on Stellar. Centrifuge reads the same on-chain reference point, so all evaluations and payments use the same trusted numbers. All updates are recorded on-chain, making the entire process transparent and easy to audit.
Providing reliable RWA data
For institutions and individual users, the idea is simple. You can gain exposure to regulated yield products through DeFi flows without having to trust a single counterparty for price data. For builders, this means Stellar now has a plug-and-play data layer that can be used to power vaults, stablecoins, or apps that require reliable RWA pricing.
Timing is critical. Institutional interest in tokenized RWA is growing, and as more large enterprises turn to tokenization, so too is the demand for real-time, reliable pricing. Stellar offers payment rails and a low-fee environment that many institutions prefer. Band provides decentralized, tamper-proof data that these assets need to behave like real financial instruments on-chain. Taken together, these help ensure that assets issued through Centrifuge operate with the reliability required for operational use.
The announcement also reminds us that elements of tokenized finance are being integrated, including infrastructure layers for payments and settlement, oracle networks that ensure data integrity, and tokenization platforms that convert off-chain assets into tradable digital tokens. This interaction determines how quickly and safely institutional implementation can proceed.
If you’re building on Stellar or using tokenized assets, Band’s RWA feed can now be directly integrated via standard reference contracts. The band presents itself as more than just an oracle. The team positions the network as a data layer that can feed real-time information to DeFi, GameFi, and AI systems and minimize counterparty risk. The feed is now live on Stellar, and deRWA products published by Centrifuge use this pipeline for pricing.
