Brave added support for Cardano, bringing cryptocurrency to browser native wallets.
The integration follows a partnership between a Web3 blockchain infrastructure company and Cardano (ADA) developer input. Privacy First Browser and Multi-Chine Crypto Wallet Output and Brave Wallet are the company behind Brave Wallet.
In an announcement on May 12, IO and Brave said that the strategic partnership aims to provide Cardano native assets to wallet users. Full support for ADA means SUCs with functionality such as sending, receiving and switching.
Apart from Token Management, Brave Wallet also provides governance support to ADA owners, with features that allow direct access from within Crypto wallets.

Brave’s CEO and co-founder Brendan Eich and Basic Attention Token pointed out that integration goes beyond interoperability. This gives users access to the tools they need to seamlessly engage with the entire distributed ecosystem.
Support will also enhance user security, Eich added.

Brave’s support for Cardano is expected to join top networks such as Ethereum and Solana to make it accessible through privacy-focused browsers and native wallets. IO and Brave plan to encourage collaboration with future innovations, including engagement with Midnight.
Brave Wallet also supports distributed applications for Zcash, Filecoin, and Ethereum Virtual Machine Chains. Users can access wallets on desktop and mobile via Android and iOS.
Cardano’s ADA is currently the ninth largest blockchain network by market capitalization. Meanwhile, Defillama’s data shows that the total value locked to protocols on the network increased to $395 million, up from around $259 million in early April.
