- $ICP announced that the V2 Caffeine AI Engine is now live and hundreds of thousands of unique builders are using the platform every month.
- Founder Dominic Williams and his team have now shifted their focus to V3, which he says can be delivered “in weeks rather than months.”
Earlier this year, Internet Computers released its 2026 roadmap, and as we reported, artificial intelligence was listed as one of the year’s key priorities. This goal received a major boost when founder Dominic Williams announced that the V2 Caffeine AI Engine is now fully operational on the network and his team is working on the next version.
Williams said the integration of Claude Code will reveal new capabilities for Caffeine programmers, and that the upcoming V3 will enhance these capabilities for users building tamper-proof apps on the network.

Caffeine is a platform built on the Internet of Computers that allows users to build and run software using plain language without learning a line of code. Users write what they want in plain natural language, and the coding is handled by AI. All deployed apps live forever $ICPit’s decentralized so users have more power over the app.
Caffeine was first released last July and quickly became a hit, prompting the team to work on improving its second version (V2). Williams says that while V2 drove a significant upgrade, the team settled on building an entirely new stack under V3 rather than continue tweaking.

Development is progressing rapidly, with Williams revealing that V3 will be available “within weeks, not months, if everything goes according to plan.” He added:
“We are very excited as we believe the transition to V3 is a major turning point in Caffeine’s history by transforming the potential of natural language-only, self-describing cloud builders to create apps on-chain for the enterprise through retailers, entrepreneurs, and small businesses.”
Initiatives like Caffeine have attracted hundreds of thousands of builders. $ICP Over the past few years, Williams added, He boldly claimed that the network currently has 10 times more developers than all other networks combined. He said the reason this achievement has not been more recognized is because the broader cryptocurrency community remains hyper-focused on tokenization, DeFi, and other metrics that are “frequently produced” such as TVL and trading volume.
He added:
“immediately, $ICP The transition of ecosystems into the mainstream world will be further facilitated by “cloud engines.” Self-writing clouds, and soon sovereign clouds. $ICP It’s the launching pad for a cloud market with $1 trillion in annual revenue and will continue to grow. ”
Williams recently published a new paper in which he proposes that validators: $ICP As reported by CNF, rewards will be drastically reduced and its fees will jump by 500% to reduce network inflation, but this proposal was immediately rejected by a significant portion of the community.
$ICP will be traded at $2.42, increase 4% In the past day, the market cap has increased to $1.32 billion.
