Fed Governor Milan is urging bold 50-point speed reductions, aiming to support economic growth.
The 25 Veges Point Cut in September made its first cut since December, but Milan sought more.
The Fed’s forecast shows that prices could fall from 3.25% to 3.50% by 2026, easing their financial position.
Federal Reserve Governor Stephen Milan is calling for aggressive interest rate cuts of up to 50 basis points (0.50%) to support the US economy. This is a bolder move than most Fed officials who support a small point cut of 25 units.
If Miran’s plans are adopted, it can significantly improve risky assets such as Bitcoin and large Altcoins.
Milan again encourages speed reductions of up to 50 bps
At the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting in September 2025, the Fed reduced 25 basis points, reaching the 4.00%-4.25% range, the first reduction since December 2024.
In particular, Governor Milan was the only formula to advocate for a larger 50-base cut, claiming that the current rate could slow growth and job creation. He noted that neutrality likely declined due to changes in immigration and labor trends.
Meanwhile, this time, Milan continues to seek a more aggressive 0.50% easing to deal with the evolving economic situation.

It is widely expected that the FOMC meeting in October will see an additional 25 vegis point cuts, with the FME Watch tool showing a 95.7% chance.
Fed project will be 50 bps projects by the end of 2026
The Fed expects to cut by approximately 50 basis points by the end of 2025, with a target of 3.50%-3.75%. Some officials have been further eased in 2026, slowing employment growth and could fall from 3.25% to 3.50% as inflation is projected at 3.0% in 2025 and 2.6% in 2026.
Milan warns that even these cuts may not be enough. He says policies need to be adjusted promptly as needed. This is because too high rates can damage the labor market and cause economic problems.
Potential Benefits of Bitcoin and Altcoin
Such aggressive rate reductions often result in significant improvements in cryptocurrency. For example, if the Fed cut 25 basis points in September, Bitcoin went from about $111,400 to $117,000 in a few days, up about 5% in just a week.
Meanwhile, large Altcoins like Ethereum and some popular meme coins also come from this extra liquidity, with higher trading activities and price increases.
If the Fed follows Miran’s advice and cuts the rate by 50 basis points, Bitcoin and Major Altcoin could see even more purchase pressure and could launch another strong crypto market cycle.
