In a recent X article, Binance.us announced support for the IOTA Network MainNet upgrade, scheduled to take place on May 5, 2025 from 3am on EDT. In preparation for the upgrade, Binance.us showed that it would abolish the existing IOTA deposit addresses a few days ago at 11pm EDT on May 2, 2025, and offer new ones after the upgrade is complete. To avoid permanent loss of funds, users will be urged to complete all IOTA deposits by this date.
According to Binance.us, IOTA deposits and withdrawals will be suspended at 11:00 PM EDT on May 2, 2025. Users are urged not to deposit IOTA to prevent permanent and irreversible loss of funds as the IOTA has been created or ongoing sediment may not be loaned to their account after this time. Additionally, if an existing deposit address is saved or whitelisted, it will be obsolete and must be deleted. It said that IOTA’s new deposit address will be provided within a week of the MainNet upgrade complete.
Upgrading your Iota Foxes network
As previously reported, the IOTA rebase network upgrade is scheduled to take place on May 5, 2025. This shows historical changes as networks move from current Stardust architecture to a whole new IOTA network.
The new network will be born through a Genesis ceremony with 13 validators. The IOTA Revased upgrade includes a carefully planned ceremony led by the IOTA Foundation and the first group of 12 other balleters.
Although trading on the exchange continues uninterrupted, users should note that IOTA token deposits and withdrawals may be temporarily suspended during the upgrade and may prepare accordingly. These services are expected to resume as soon as the upgrade is complete.
