Inspired by late wrestling legend Hulk Hogan and Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne, Memocoin spiked as he paid tribute to the deaths of two popular icons this week.
Terry Borea, well known for his wrestling ring name, Hulk Hogan, reportedly died at the hospital at age 71 on Thursday after Medic arrived at his home to answer calls about possible cardiac arrest.
Ozzy Osbourne, the hard-party frontman of British rock band Black Sabbath, will be coming just days after Ozzy Osbourne passed away on Tuesday at the age of 76.
Hogan was WWF’s most famous wrestler in the 1980s, with a decades-long career in both the ring and television and film.
Osborne, often referred to as Prince of Darkness, is considered a legend in the world of music and is considered an iconic heavy metal musician. It is estimated that Black Sabbath has sold 75 million albums worldwide.
Hulk and Ozzy Memokine are soaring
According to Data Aggregator Dextools, the wrapped Ethereum (Weth) token called Hulkmanaia (Hulk) rose above 122,000% at its peak to trade at 0.001335. Created 8 hours ago.
At the same time, a coin appeared to be about to use the Osborne portrait also pop-up. Madman (Ozzy) pumped over 16,800% and traded at $0.003,851, reaching a market capitalization of $3,850,000.
His death also caused a surge in the inappropriate token market as fans were rushing to buy one of his official Cryptobatz collections.
None of the new tokens were connected to either person’s estate, and some disappeared as quickly as they appeared.
Another Hogan coin was released last year.
According to Dextools, Solana Memecoin, Hulkamania (Hulk), released on June 6th last year, has surpassed 2000% and reached a market capitalization of over $500,000 in the last 24 hours.
Despite the spikes, it is still far from the $18.8 million market peak reached last year by Hogan’s X account after promoting the token. The post was later deleted, claiming that Hogan was not made by him.

Memecoin often follows famous deaths
This is not the first time since his famous death.
Using the name and line of former NFL player and convicted Felon OJ Simpson, Memecoins appeared shortly after his death in April 2024.
Meanwhile, fans of both Osborne and Hulk were flooded with tributes this week, calling wrestlers the greatest of all time, while musicians call the unique rock gods.
