Kucoin is currently the world’s first cryptocurrency exchange to support UBS Umint, representing the first tokenized money market investment fund introduced by UBS Asset Management and paid through Digift, and is permitted to process tokenized real world assets (RWA).
Partnership details
The partnership allows Digift owners of UBS Umint Tokens institutions to use tokenized investment funds as collateral outside the exchange of Kucoin transactions. This configuration allows Kucoin to mirror Stablecoin-equivalent RWA holdings without changing ownership of the asset, and to facilitate effective trading of digital assets while maintaining the security and yield of underlying funds through regulated third-party administrators.

Investors will have access to facility-grade cash management solutions supported by Premium Money Market Instruments through UBS UMINT, built on Ethereum and issued under UBS Tokenization.
Digital and traditional finance
According to Kucoin CEO BC Wong, the initiative is a key step in combining digital assets with traditional finance, highlighting its focus on user security innovation and compliance. As an approved distribution partner, Digift manages UBS UMINT subscriptions and reimbursements with Fiat and Stablecoins.
Use a non-custodial model that allows customers to use the wallet of their choice. According to Digift CEO Henry Zhang, the integration increases capital efficiency in the digital asset market, thereby reaffirming Digift’s role in building institutional quality Web3 market infrastructure.
More tokenized assets from substantial asset managers will be added to Kucoin’s collateral program in the future. Kucoin and Digift are using RWA to treat RWA as a recognized collateral, raising the standard for legally compliant, capital-efficient digital finance solutions.
