Analysts say the outflow of Bitcoin from exchanges and the movement of stablecoins in the crypto market could be a sign of large-scale spot buying. Bitcoin outflows from centralized crypto exchanges (CEX) have reached significant levels over the past seven days, according to data shared by crypto market analyst Axel Adler.
Bitcoin experienced a net outflow of $47,700, according to analyst ratings $BTC Results from the trading platform for the past week. This figure is the highest weekly outflow in about a year.
According to the data, daily net outflows from February 27 to March 5 were -2,867, -1,205, -251, -6,129, -1,819, -31,900, and -3,478. $BTCrespectively. The most notable movement occurred on March 4, when approximately 31,900 people $BTC I withdrew from the exchange in one day. Axel noted that such large daily outflows are typically associated with large investors moving assets into cold wallets, but in some cases they can also result from internal transfers between custodians.
The analyst said continued net outflows of Bitcoin from exchanges could indicate a weakening of underlying selling pressure in the spot market. If net outflows continue without significant inflows over the next 3-5 days, this could be interpreted as a signal of “continued accumulation.”
On the other hand, stablecoin flows also provide important clues about market movements. According to stablecoin annual net flow data, a hefty inflow of approximately $1.1 billion was recorded in early March. However, this inflow quickly reversed, with data now showing a net outflow of approximately -$37.5 million.
According to Adler, the correlation between these two data points is important. The large inflow of stablecoins in early March and the large outflow of Bitcoin on March 4, taken together, indicate a typical trading cycle. According to analysts, the funds first entered the exchange as a stablecoin, were then converted to Bitcoin, and then withdrawn from the exchange for on-chain storage. This pattern is generally considered a characteristic indicator of large-scale spot buying behavior.
