Michael Saylor, vocalist Bitcoin evangelist and co-founder of the now-famous BTC Treasury Company Strategy, has published a high-profile tweet in an attempt to connect Bitcoin to American popular pop culture.
Saylor has once again added two big Easter eggs to his Bitcoin-themed tweet. He often cites famous films and people who have become part of American popular culture.
Bitcoin’s “Basic Mathematics”
In his latest X post, Saylor has published an AI-generated image. It depicts him resembling the character of Nobel Prize-winning John Nash, played by Russell Crowe in the popular film A Beautiful Mind. In that film, Nash loved to use Windows as a chalkboard to do calculations to write in chalk. Here, Saylor is simply writing mathematical formulas on an old-fashioned blackboard, wearing glasses that resemble Crowe’s character.
The tweet captions include “Only Basic Mathematics” (B has two vertical strokes that represent Bitcoin) and a BTC symbol on her chest as a medallion. “Basic Mathematics” can mean two things by Sayler. The first one is the foundation of Bitcoin. This, as Elon Musk pointed out in one of his interviews, is hardly possible to crack even on quantum computers.

The second meaning is a reference to the BTC strategy of constant accumulation, retention, issuance of more convertible obligations, and once again holding strategies.
Last week, Saylor referenced the classic Wachowski film The Matrix in a tweet, saying tickets to get out of the Matrix are priced in Bitcoin. His other recent pop culture Bitcoin references include the visionary Steve Jobs and Superman.
Saylor boasts a high strategy BTC return in 2025
On Thursday, in one of his X posts, Saylor shared an infographic of returns won by top companies, including his strategy and key assets.
The strategy surpassed all of that list, earning 169% in fiscal year revenue so far. Next came Bitcoin (76%), Elon Musk’s Tesla (67%), Gold (44%), and Zuckerberg meta (39%). Nvidia, Amazon, Microsoft, S&P 500, and Apple were also on their return lists. Apple entered the red zone with Google on a return.
