Ethereum’s Journey: Genesis to Today
Ethereum was released on July 30, 2015 and had a Genesis block containing 8,893 transactions. The first transaction set of Ethereum’s frontier assigned different amounts of ether tokens to different wallet addresses, introducing a block reward of 5 ETH.
