Spoonos, a new agent operating system built for Web3 developers, has officially been launched. This is halting a new wave of possibilities for building, deploying and scaling autonomous AI agents.

Spoonos is backed by Neo, an open source blockchain that has been driving smart contract innovation since 2014, and is designed as the foundational layer of a new “sensory economy.”
And it’s not booting quietly. Spoonos is deployed in a $2 million ecosystem fund dedicated to launching recruitment, including hackathons, incentive programs and grants to support builders focused on AI and autonomous agent infrastructure. Details about these initiatives will be expected soon.
Built for construction companies supported by Neo
At its core, Spoonos is a full stack OS for AI agents running in distributed environments. It is equipped with tools and interfaces that allow developers to create intelligent, interoperable agents without having to start from scratch.
This is not Neo’s first foray into AI. In 2024, the platform launched Neo X, a high-performance EVM compatible sideshane, and launched a strategic AI partnership that includes working with inflectives, launching an agent-based game matrix, and introducing AI-centric developer tracks at hackathons. Currently, with Spoonos, Neo doubles the convergence of Web3 and artificial intelligence.
“Spoonos is the boldest move ever,” said Neo founder Da Hongfei. “It brings our clever economic vision to an age of intelligent and autonomous systems. With the massive intersecting of AI and Web3, we are building an OS for a sensory economy.”
What’s the difference between the spoons?
The platform is packed with three major system modules: privacy modules, security modules, and data layer. Agent networks can work safely and personally while accessing both on-chain and off-chain data sources.
That outstanding feature? AI Agent interoperability protocols allow AI Agents to communicate, learn and evolve multiple coordination layers. In other words, Spoonos not only drives individual bots, but also lays the foundation for an adaptive, collaborative network of autonomous agents.
Once developers start building with Spoonos, the platform is expected to evolve into a self-supporting ecosystem. Agents can interact, share data, and even co-create. From decentralized finance to autonomous research agents, use cases are just beginning to unfold.
Ecosystem Growth is powered by a $2 million fund
To ease momentum, Spoonos is launching its $2 million fund with the aim of supporting developers’ growth. This includes direct incentives to build on Spoonos, hackathons focused on agent solutions, and educational programs to ride the next wave of AIX Web3 creators.
Whether you’re an AI researcher or a Defi developer, or you’re interested in the future of autonomous agents, Spoonos offers a plug-and-play framework to build for the future agent economy.
A sensory economy is coming
Spoonos is not just another tool set, it’s a vision. A vision for AI agents to interact autonomously across distributed systems and collaborate in ways that go far beyond single-user workflows. With Neo as its foundation, Spoonos is designed to make its vision realistic.
This is the opportunity for developers to form a new category of Web3 infrastructure. For users, it is a glimpse into a world where intelligent agents work safely, transparently and autonomously on their behalf.
