XRP mogul Cameron Scrubs, founder of Tradeship University, revealed that he sold his McLaren in order to accumulate more XRP.
In a post on X, he revealed that he had owned the luxury car for over a year. He said he would now rather hold the same value in XRP.
Scrubs added that he expects to “print free McLarens” if XRP reaches an all-time high. At the end of his post, he asked his followers if they could “understand simple math.”
His long-standing prediction is that XRP will overtake both Bitcoin and Ethereum to become the world’s top cryptocurrency within five years.
The McLaren episode is the latest example of Scrubs’ ambitious call for XRP, reinforcing his message of complete confidence in the asset’s long-term value.
Interestingly, similar super bullish stunts have surfaced across the community.
Sell Lambo and buy XRP
In 2024, cryptocurrency YouTuber Miles G claimed to have sold his Lamborghini Huracan Spyder in order to buy more XRP, but the authenticity of the sale was questioned.
A few months later, Miles said his father liquidated their $800,000 home and bought all the XRP, calling it the boldest investment decision of his family’s trading career.
The XRP community often celebrates such displays as a sign of trust. But critics dismiss them as reckless, exaggerated signals within a speculative echo chamber.
Why is the XRP bull market doubling?
Behind the dramatic development, analysts point to a series of major developments that increase their optimism regarding Ripple and XRP throughout 2025.
At Ripple Swell 2025, Ripple announced a $500 million funding round backed by leading investors including Galaxy Digital, Fortress, and Pantera Capital.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said the increase confirms confidence in the business “built on the foundation of XRP” and praised investors for recognizing the asset’s role in the company’s broader infrastructure push.
Ripple has also expanded its ecosystem through a partnership with Mastercard to integrate RLUSD for fiat payments on XRPL.
These developments have reignited enthusiasm across the XRP community. It helped promote extreme displays of personal beliefs, like the supercar sacrifice in Scrubs.
