The crypto and stock markets are deeper in red this week, but one memocoin has skyrocketed against the trend at the time of writing.
According to Coingecko, Fartcoin (Fartcoin) has skyrocketed by a whopping 30% in the last 24 hours, exceeding $0.60 on April 8th.
On April 7th, Solana-based Memecoin hit a $0.42 low amid the broader crypto market slump.
However, since then, the token has earned over 40%, and is currently one of the top performers in the crypto market.
Crypto Trader “Rookiexbt” told 484,000 followers that Fartcoin’s volume is increasing, adding, “while the world is falling apart” and “no other coins are doing this.”
The financial parody account “Not Jerome Powell” said “the heat is rising.”
Stock markets around the world fell on April 7 in response to Donald Trump’s sweeping trade tariffs.

The Fartcoin token, launched in October without a utility, ignored the market several times before by bounces upwards when other assets tanked.
Bitcoin dumped 6% on April 3rd, exceeding $87,000, from around $81,500 on April 3rd. Fartcoin was one of the first to recover, surged by 36% the next day.
Furthermore, the tokens were seen as a wider slump for altcoins, with market capitalization exceeding $1 billion in December.

It reached an all-time high of $2.48 at the peak of Memocoin frenzy in mid-January. However, since then, 76% of those levels have retreated due to the Memecoin bubble bursting.
Other Meme Coins also bounce upwards
According to Coingecko, there is also a surge in related Solana Memecoin based on comic book characters called Fartboy (Fartboy) (Fartboy).
However, this Memecoin has dropped by 85% since its peak in mid-February.

Other memokines currently outperform the broader crypto market include the SPX6900 (SPX), an increase of 11.5%. Cheems Token (Cheems) won 10.5%. AI Companion (AIC) is currently up 10%. Mog Coin (Mog) surged 33% that day.
Even Memecoin Stalwarts Dogecoin (Doge) and Shiba Inu (Shib) have outperformed Bitcoin over the past 24 hours.
