neo Legacy has officially retired the original version of its blockchain, which was launched in 2016 under the name AntShares. The last snapshot of Neo Legacy was taken before the shutdown to preserve its historical state. Block generation has been stopped and all on-chain operations, including asset transfers, token migrations, and contract deployments, have been disabled.
neo Two years after Neo X was first announced, we’ve opened several core repositories on GitHub. This move follows the recent MainNet v0.4.2 upgrade that introduced MEV-resistant transaction ordering using envelope transactions, threshold encryption, and dBFT consensus. Developed by BaneLabs, a collaboration of Neo Global Development, NeoSPCC, and AxLabs, the EVM-compatible chain has progressed from concept to production through multiple TestNet and MainNet releases and audits from Red4Sec, BlockSec, Hacken, and Secure3. The newly opened repository includes Neo X nodes, bridge contracts, TPKE libraries, and ZK tools and marks the transition from stealth development to open collaboration across the Neo N3 and Neo X ecosystems.
Spoon OS announced Hanoi as the second destination of its Scoop AI Hackathon global tour, a competition exploring the intersection of blockchain and AI. Hanoi Bowl will follow a hybrid structure, starting with a currently active online phase for team registration and idea submission, and culminating in an offline hackathon weekend in Hanoi in mid-November.
Spoon OS has launched Spoon-Fed Ideas, a unique way for ecosystem members to contribute to the multi-location, multi-month Scoop AI hackathon. Spoon-Fed Ideas is an initiative aimed at connecting non-developers and builders in the Web3 and AI space. If a Spoon-Fed idea wins one of the various hackathon “bowls,” both the individual who submitted the proposal and the developer who built it will earn GAS rewards.
