The Layer 2 encryption project is starting to pick up steam again. A sharp increase in social interactions has been observed in the Layer 2 ecosystem, with recent information from Phoenix Group and LunarCrush revealing both impressive peaks in interactions on large networks. According to the latest report released on November 28, 2025, ZK was the most socially active project regarding Layer 2.

The network showed 4.8,000 engaged posts and 372.3,000 total interactions. This is significant and proves the growing community interest and strong narratives revolving around solutions based on ZK-based scaling.
This momentum is timely as Layer 2 encryption technology is increasingly considered as an essential component to enable blockchain scalability for faster execution and lower costs without sacrificing security. ZK’s dominance means the emergence of investor confidence, active activity of developers, and active online discussions that increase its visibility.
Linea secures second place with over 2 million interactions
By a close margin, Linea ranked second in the social activity category with 390,000 engaged posts and a high volume of interactions with 2.1 million posts.
The level of participation shows that Linea remains one of the most discussed Layer 2 crypto ecosystems, likely due to its developer-friendly infrastructure and ongoing ecosystem expansion.
Consistent activity on social platforms by Linea means a stronger community and incremental project momentum. The growing list of dApps, integrations, and collaborations seems to be driving more user traffic on social media.
Starknet maintains strong engagement with 494K interactions
Starknet ranked third with 3.6,000 engaged posts and 494,000 interactions, confirming its position as a major player in the ZK Rollup competition. The creation of smart contracts in Cairo and its focus on high scalability has made Starknet stronger in the developer and cryptocurrency communities.
The degree of online engagement hints at continued expectations for Starknet’s roadmap milestones and ecosystem upgrades, as well as more users engaging with the growing DeFi ecosystem.
Optimism and Celo highlight the strength of the middle class
In the middle of the ranks are Optimism (OP) and Celo, propelled by continuous ecosystem updates and a community-focused approach.
Optimism has 2.2,000 engaged posts and 72,2,000 interactions and remains consistently engaged due to its robust governance framework and Superchain story.
During that time, Celo shared 2.1K posts with engagement and an impressive 985.1K interactions, proving that the discussion about switching to Ethereum Layer 2 architecture is still a very strong topic on the internet platform.
Arbitrums, stacks, and polygons show stable growth
Arbitrum (ARB) also registered 1.9K active posts and 129.4K interactions. It is one of the largest and most popular Layer 2 encryption networks, so it is a stable engagement.
Stax (STX), which continues to innovate the Bitcoin layer, registered 1.8,000 posts and 168,400 interactions. This is a positive indicator of growing interest in the Bitcoin-compatible smart contract ecosystem.
Polygon (POL) continued to have a steady dialogue within its community despite the drop in market activity, creating 1.4,000 posts and 67,700 interactions.
Mantle and Immutable X round out the top 10 Layer 2 ciphers list
The last two major Layer 2 encryption projects were Mantle (MNT) with 1.4K posts and 102.9K interactions, and Immutable X (IMX) with 1.2K posts and 164.1K interactions. The two ecosystems are still shaping their reputations well, with Mantle and Immutable X gaining market dominance in the gaming and NFT sectors, respectively.
As Layer 2 crypto projects become the cornerstone of blockchain scalability, social activity is one of the most effective signals of market mood and user activity.
