Metaplanet made a strategic move by acquiring 150 BTC for around $12.6 million. Each Bitcoin was purchased for around $83,801. So far, in 2025, the company has maintained an impressive BTC yield of 68.3%. As of March 24, 2025, Metaplanet’s total holdings reached 3,350 BTC.

Metaplanet’s goal is to reach 10,000 BTC by 2025 and an astounding 21,000 BTC by 2026. If successful, you own 1% of all Bitcoin created so far. This strategic accumulation demonstrates Metaplanet’s long-term vision and confidence in the value of Bitcoin.
Recently, Metaplanet has appointed Eric Trump to the Strategic Advisory Committee, marking a key step in its mission to expand Bitcoin’s Treasury Department. Metaplanet is currently one of the largest Bitcoin holders in the world. CEO Simon Gerovich praised Eric Trump’s expertise in real estate, finance and brand development.
Eric is also ambassador to World Liberty Financial, a crypto project involving brothers Donald Jr. and Baron Trump, which aim to promote the adoption of digital assets. However, his relationship with the Trump family and the Trump organization raises concerns about potential conflicts of interest, especially as crypto regulations become a hot topic in US politics.
