Strategy has about $900 million in its USD holdings account, even as its stock price has soared on Wall Street since selling bitcoin for the first time in years.
Stocks slide as investors become nervous
MSTR stock fell more than 9% on Tuesday June 2nd and is currently down nearly 25% over the past month. The sell-off reflects growing investor anxiety over whether the company will sell more of its Bitcoin holdings after revealing a small but symbolically significant liquidation last week.
From May 26 to May 31, Strategy raised approximately $2.5 million by selling 32 BTC at an average price of $77,135 per coin. The sale proceeds are expected to be used to cover preferred stock debt.

Saylor interrupts her routine with a Midweek Post.
On Wednesday morning, Chairman Michael Saylor posted “Back to Work” on X along with a gif showing him in a Bitcoin-themed environment. The post stood out because it was posted on a Wednesday rather than the usual Sunday and did not include the company’s famous Bitcoin performance chart (sometimes referred to as the “orange dot”).
Observers took this post as a sign that Strategy was preparing to buy Bitcoin again. There are no announcements.
Strategy raised $128 million through the sale of MSTR stock during the same period. Despite its recent activity, the company remains the world’s largest Bitcoin holding, with 843,706 BTC worth over $56 billion.

Coinbase transfers add extra guesswork.
Blockchain observers recently discovered a strategy to move Bitcoin to Coinbase Prime, adding yet another layer of speculation about the company’s next move. The company previously used its cash resources to repurchase $1.5 billion worth of convertible bonds at a discount, coinciding with a halt to its yet-to-be-reversed Bitcoin buying spree.
Saylor has long been the face of corporate Bitcoin accumulation, and deviations from his playbook tend to quickly draw attention. The post dated June 3 is no exception, even if its meaning is unclear.
