Tom Lee, co-founder of Fundstrat Global Advisors and well-known market bull, said: double He talked about his super bullish outlook on the digital asset market.
Despite the tough start to the year, Lee predicts a massive capital rotation with an eye on Ethereum ($ETH) and Bitcoin ($BTC) to reach a record high by the end of 2026.
According to the latest year-end price target attributed to the strategist, Lee sees a clear path for Bitcoin ($BTC) reaches $200,000. Ethereum ($ETH): Projected to reach $12,000.
This bold prediction is based on the premise that the “crypto winter” has officially thawed, giving way to a “crypto spring” driven by institutional accumulation and a reversal of the extremely negative sentiment that dominated the first quarter.
The bottom of “quitting anger”
Mr Lee’s current optimism follows a series of previous predictions made in March 2026, when he claimed the market was on the brink of a macro reversal.
During that period, Lee famously predicted that the “crypto winter” would end by April at the latest.
His reasoning was based on contrarian indicators. Mr. Lee pointed to “extinguishing anger” and widespread capitulation among retail traders as typical signs of a market bottom.
“When people give up on Bitcoin, you know the sky is the limit,” Lee said, noting that extreme frustration is often the final step before the price rises significantly.
Lee dismissed concerns that the summer slump would be prolonged, suggesting the “sell in May and go away” trend that plagued the past two years will break in 2026.
“It’s embarrassing to watch.”
Lee’s unwavering bullishness is not without its critics. Canadian billionaire and mining magnate Frank Giustra recently ridiculed the strategist’s forecast on social media, calling Lee’s optimism “embarrassing to watch.”
Giustra, a well-known “gold bug”, has long criticized Bitcoin as a speculative asset that does not function as a legitimate store of value. He remains convinced that physical precious metals are the only reliable hedge against systemic risk and inflation.
