Recent strategic moves by multi-chain wallet Phantom signal a shift of resources to networks with greater potential for real-world financial applications and tokenized assets.
Phantom drops support for Monad
Phantom has announced that it will end support for Monad starting August 26th, ending an integration that lasted about nine months since its mainnet launch.
Phantom will end support for the Monad network on August 26th.
We will soon begin notifying Monad users within the app with links to support articles that share options for moving or replacing Monad native assets.

The company clarified that this change does not affect ownership of user funds. As a non-custodial wallet, Phantom does not hold user assets. Instead, they remain recorded on the blockchain and can be accessed through compatible wallets. Over the coming weeks, the app will provide notifications and instructions to help users transition to alternative solutions.
Two options for users
Affected users have two primary options to manage their assets by the deadline.
The first option is to import the seed phrase into another wallet that supports Monad, such as MetaMask or Rabby, allowing uninterrupted use of the network. The second option allows users to $MON Tokens from other assets, including wrapped ones, can be used directly within Phantom $MON Within the Solana ecosystem.
According to the company, this decision is not due to security issues with the wallet itself, but rather due to structural changes in Monad development.
Robinhood Chain now available on Phantom
Just one day before announcing the end of Monad support, Phantom revealed the Robinhood Chain integration. After updating the app to the latest version, users will be able to interact directly with this new layer 2 network through the wallet interface.

Robinhood Chain is built using Arbitrum Orbit technology. Fully compatible with Ethereum, Ethereum As a token for transaction fees.
Focus on tokenized assets
The new network was designed to bridge traditional financial markets and blockchain infrastructure. Robinhood positions this Layer 2 solution as a hub for tokenized stocks, real-world assets (RWA), and other financial instruments that can be traded on-chain.
This integration gives Phantom users direct access to this ecosystem without the need for manual network configuration or third-party applications.
Phantom pivots towards broader multi-chain ecosystem
The removal of Monad alongside the addition of Robinhood Chain suggests that Phantom is optimizing its supported networks based on their adoption and potential real-world utility.
Although the end of support may put pressure on us in the short term, $MON Token, Robinhood Chain integration expands user access to a modern infrastructure focused on the tokenization of traditional financial assets and the evolution of on-chain capital markets.
