Following weeks of escalation, new threats and attacks, US President Donald Trump has reportedly ordered troops to withdraw instead of carrying out an attack planned for tonight.
Cryptocurrency focus has returned to Bitcoin, which typically responds positively to similar developments. However, the actual effects may be felt at least 24 hours later.
As reported by Axios, the reason for tonight’s withdrawal from new military action is the recently resumed talks in the Strait of Hormuz.
Major media sites reported yesterday that Oman had begun talks with Iran to reopen the vital strait, with some sources claiming significant progress had been made in the past day. President Trump appears to want to see how the situation resolves before deciding whether the United States will continue its offensive.
BREAKING: According to Axios, President Trump on Friday night ordered the US military not to carry out a planned attack on Iran, despite having previously authorized the attack.
This came just hours after Oman-mediated talks on reopening the Strait of Hormuz were reportedly resumed.

Major cryptocurrencies tend to react to all kinds of news on the front. While new attacks usually lead to price corrections, hopes for an agreement, ceasefire, or even a lasting peace have re-emerged, leading to a massive backlash.
The difficult part is timing. Apart from the initial shock when the war began in late February, assets remained relatively stable during the weekend’s new developments. Instead, the real movement in either direction occurs on Monday morning, when most traditional financial markets open.
