Solana-based memecoin launchpad Pump.fun has introduced a new open bounty platform where users post crypto rewards for bizarre promotional tasks, such as getting a tattoo of a memecoin ticker symbol, quitting their current job in front of the camera, or skydiving to a World Cup game.
Pump.fun introduced its new platform on Thursday, positioning it as an open marketplace for “achieving rewards for any task and harnessing the power of people and money around the world.” Submissions will be reviewed by Pump.fun while funds are held in escrow. If accepted, a bounty will be paid to the submitter.
Pump.fun states in its terms of service document that “bounties that could be considered spam by X are not allowed.”
Some of the highest-paying jobs include a nearly $57,000 prize to skydive into a World Cup game as Memecoin’s mascot, a $25,000 prize to interview the family of Henry Nowak’s killer, and a $3,000 prize to quit his job on live TV.
Some listings reviewed by Cointelegraph offer thousands of dollars for risky or degrading promotional practices, raising questions about moderation, safety, and legal exposure.
“This is a scary market. It’s like playing with poor people’s lives and paying them to have fun,” commented X user Old Hawk. “Yes, it reminds me of the squid game,” replied crypto investor Fabiano.sol.

Users can rank open bounties based on highest reward, time remaining, or bounties that have received the most claims to date.
Open bounties start with an expiration date and include a description of the exact deliverables required to accomplish the task and qualify for payment.

As of this writing, the platform was showing an unclaimed pool of $115,000 across 225 actual bounties and 509 total bounty claims.

The new bounty platform is already attracting publicly traded companies looking to fund unusual meme coin marketing stunts.
One task offered a $3,572 prize for spray-painting the ticker symbol “$memecoin” on a car and setting it on fire, with 29 days remaining to complete the challenge while wearing the Memecoin mascot and filming the entire process.

Another task offered users $2,630 to get the ticker symbol “$boutywork” tattooed on their foreheads and required them to submit video evidence of their actions. So far, the task has received four submissions from people who have completed their tattoos.
