Solflare is betting that the next major consumer use case for cryptocurrencies will be collecting real-world assets rather than trading tokens.
Solana wallet provider has launched Solflare Packs, a new in-wallet experience that allows users to buy, open, trade, and redeem authentic graded trading cards directly from their crypto wallet.
Powered by Collector Crypt, a tokenized collectibles marketplace that has processed over $1 billion in transaction volume, the product combines physical collectibles with blockchain-based ownership and liquidity.
With this announcement, Solflare introduces what it describes as the first wallet-native end-to-end trading card experience on Solana, allowing users to discover cards, publish packs, manage collections, and access liquidity without leaving their wallet.
First Wallet Native Trading Card Experience
At launch, Solflare Packs will offer categories spanning Pokemon, One Piece, sports cards, and other popular collectibles.
Each card opened through the platform is backed by authentic graded collectibles stored within Collector Crypt’s vaults. Ownership of the underlying card is represented on-chain as an NFT in a user’s Solflare wallet.
Collectors have three options:
We will ship your physical card to your home address
Keep assets digitally in your collection
Sell cards back to Collector Crypto
The goal is to remove the friction that has historically existed between physical collectibles and digital ownership.
Collectors can complete the entire experience within a single interface, rather than having to navigate between marketplaces, payment providers, and shipping platforms.
Why tokenized collectibles are gaining momentum
The collectibles market has long faced challenges around liquidity, discovery, and settlement.
Traditional platforms require collectors to wait days or weeks before selling their items, and buyers can face long shipping times before receiving their purchases. Blockchain infrastructure introduces a different model, allowing instant transfer of ownership while the underlying assets remain securely stored.
As a result, tokenized collectibles are increasingly seen as one of the more practical real-world asset (RWA) categories that have emerged within cryptocurrencies.
“We see tokenized collectibles becoming one of the next major consumer categories for cryptocurrencies,” said Vidor Gensel, co-founder and co-CEO of Solflare.
“Collections has always been about discovery, ownership, and liquidity, but the traditional experience is still fragmented. With Solflare Packs, users can discover and open authentic graded cards, hold them on-chain, sell them back with instant liquidity, or ship physical cards whenever they want to own them.”
Instant liquidity with built-in buybacks
One of the more distinctive features of this platform is its built-in liquidity model.
All cards opened through Solflare packs include a 72-hour buyback window, allowing users to instantly sell unwanted cards back to Collector Crypt at a known price.
This eliminates one of the biggest problems collectors face: finding a buyer.
Instead of listing items on the secondary market and waiting for demand, users can quickly close their positions and keep opening new packs if needed.
This model effectively combines the excitement of traditional card collecting with the expectation of liquidity that cryptocurrency users are accustomed to.
Solana’s consumer ecosystem continues to expand
The announcement also highlights Solana’s increasing focus on consumer applications.
While much of the cryptocurrency industry remains focused on financial products, Solflare Packs represent a new attempt to bring mainstream consumer experiences on-chain.
Collector Crypt currently maintains over $35 million in tokenized inventory across trading cards and collectibles, and Solflare serves over 4 million monthly active users across the Solana ecosystem.
“Collector Crypt has always been focused on making collectibles more accessible and engaging,” said Tuomas Holmberg, co-founder and CEO of Collector Crypt.
“Solflare has built one of the largest consumer-facing applications within the Solana ecosystem, and this partnership will allow us to bring collectibles directly to a broader audience.”
What’s next for tokenized collectibles?
Solflare packs have been designed to serve both beginners and experienced collectors since their initial launch.
New users can explore the experience through a free demo without connecting to a wallet, and advanced collectors can use features like Turbo Mode, which automatically processes lower rarity cards while emphasizing premium pulls.
Solflare’s vision goes beyond wallet functionality. The company sees wallets evolving into a destination for discovery, commerce, ownership, and liquidity, all within a single crypto-native experience.
